Fishing in the B.L.A is very good right now! Water temps have dropped back to the mid 60s and all of our fish have been very active. June is always a great month the be out, now is the time to be on the water.
WALLEYES– continue to stay fairly shallow, 9-20 feet. Leeches, night crawlers, and River mix minnows are turning fish on Gull, Pelican, and Edward’s, slip bobbers or jigs are best!
BASS– most bass have now completed the spawn and are along the cabbage weeds in 10-14 feet. Spinner baits, Ned rugs, and plastic worms are catching on Gull, Hubert, and North Long.
PIKE– are hitting jigs and minnows in the deeper weeds now, 12-20 feet on Whitefish, Pelican, and Gull. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits are also a good bet.
CRAPPIES AND SUNFISH- are biting on plastics, crappie minnows, and Wax worms on small jigs on Nisswa lake, Sylvan, and North long, in 6-12 feet of water seems the best.
BEST OF LUCK! Swing into S and W for all your bait needs and now would be the time to treat yourself or loved ones to a Guided fishing trip!
