B.L.A Fishing remains excellent, especially for late JULY!!
WALLEYES– Walleye fishing remains pretty good, especially for late summer! Redtails, Night Crawlers, and Leeches are all turning fish on Pelican, Gull, and Whitefish. 14-24 feet seem to be best. While some days are better than others, if you put some time in, you can usually be rewarded with a decent catch.
NORTHERNS – The pike fishing has really turned on! Pike seem to get very active with the warmer water temps. Pelican, North Long, and the south end of Gull are all producing nice pike in 16-32 feet on bigger jigs and minnows, spoons, and spin rigs.
BASS– Bass fishing remains outstanding on the deeper weed edges on Gull, Hubert, and middle Cullen. 14-20 feet, on jigs and plastics, spinner baits, and crank baits are all working.
SUNFISH– some of the best fishing for these tasty panfish is happening now! Deeper weed humps on north long, round and lower cullen are all producing nice sunnies on leeches and wax worms.
Enjoy these awesome summer days on our beautiful lakes! Be Safe and now would be a good time to Book a Fall Fishing trip!!
