HOT! That is the word for the week, we have had the hottest stretch of weather this last week, fishing continues to be pretty good. Water temps have risen into the low 80s, about as warm as it gets in the B.L.A.
WALLEYES– Whitefish, Gull, and North long continue to produce in the right conditions, 18-28 feet on rigs and leeches or Crawlers. Slip Bobber and spinners trolling slowly on the edges of mid lake structure are kicking out fish.
BASS– action is great right now on most of our lakes! Ned rigs, jigs and plastics, crank baits, however you like to fish and you’ll catch some. Depths that have been best lately are 8-20 feet.
NORTHERN PIKE– Upper gull, Pelican, and whitefish are kicking out nice pike in 16-30 feet on spoons, bigger jigs and creek minnows.
SUNFISH– Bigger sunnies are now biting good! Leeches, wax worms, small jigs and plastics are producing. North long, Hubert, and Lower Cullen in 6-16 feet.
Enjoy the Lakes Area! Good luck and now would be a great time to book a Guided fishing trip!
