Overall fishing has been good this past week. We were out targeting pretty much all of the species from panfish to walleye, to pike and bass. Water temps fluctuated a bit this past week which made especially the walleye bite somewhat temperamental. The best walleye bite has been shallow in 10 feet or less. A jig and shiner has been the best but we caught some fish on plastics, crank baits, hair jigs, and even bobber and leech. Panfish and bass are up in the shallows getting ready to spawn. Dark bottoms bays or down timber have been good locations for panfish. Bass are really bunched up in the shallows as well and you can pretty much pick whatever presentation you like best to catch them. Pike seem to be the deepest fish right now and are located to the weedlines in 9-15 feet. Remember to selective harvest and have fun catching.
