With Fall right around the corner the summer is winding down!! Fishing has been a little inconsistent this last week as many of our fish are “starting” to transition to fall patterns from summer.
WALLEYES– at times the walleyes are biting and also, it can be frustrating now too. Water temperatures are still in the low 70s, fish can be caught still in the weeds and some transitioning deeper. 12-16 feet and 22-28 feet on Whitefish, Gull, and Northlong. Crawlers and chubs are now working best.
BASS – Bass Fishing remains solid on jigs and plastics, chatter-baits and crank-baits in 10-20 feet on Gull, Hubert, and Lower Cullen.
NORTHERNS – Bigger pike have moved deeper along the sunken islands and main lake points on Gull, Pelican, and Whitefish. 20-30 feet on bigger chubs and deep running crank-baits.
PANFISH– Both Crappies and Sunfish have become more active. Small jigs with plastics or crappie minnows are turning fish on Sylvan, Upper Gull, and Pelican. 8-18 feet in the cabbage weeds is best.
