North Long Lake is approximately 6,200 acres. It is located 7 miles north of Brainerd. It consists of 371 Bay on the west and Merrifield Bay on the east side, with North Long proper being in the middle.
North Long is a great multi-species fishery. It has great largemouth bass and northern populations. North Long is also a very good walleye and panfish destination. Anglers target both 371 and Merrifield Bay for panfish, bass, and northern pike. North Long has large sand flats with lots of vegetation on the drop-offs.
North Long Lake is next to Brainerd International Raceway.
