Fishing in the B.L.A continues to be very good. Summer patterns are still hanging on as water temps are more like summer than fall. BASS are still active in the 10-18 feet cabbage weed on most area lakes – Gull, North Long, and Hubert are the best right now with Plastics and spinner baits. PIKE are active on the deeper weed lines using sucker minnows or bigger chubs, 20-28 feet- Pelican – White Fish and Gull. WALLEYES have been a little tougher lately but can be had on chubs and night crawlers in 16-28 feet – Edwards, North Long and Pelican are the best. PANFISH on wax worms and crappie minnows in 10-16 feet – Upper Gull, North Long and Nisswa lakes have been best. As fall approaches it will only get better! Book your fall trip now 218-963-2547!!
