September 8, 2025

COLD!  That is the name as September rolled In last week with very unseasonable temps throughout most of the week, made for tough fishing. With temps 20-30 degrees colder than normal and very high winds it made fishing very challenging. WALLEYES were sluggish during the cold front, with a lot of work some were being caught on Creek Chubs in 16-28 feet on Gull – Whitefish – and Pelican. BASS continue to be fairly active along the weed edges on Hubert – Gull – and North Long – Crank-baits, spinner baits and jigs with a minnow combination all put fish topside. PIKE we’re decent on Gull and  Edward’s on bigger chubs  in 20- 30 feet. PANFISH are still holding near the deeper cabbage weeds on Gull – Sylvan – and Whitefish, being caught on a small jig tipped with a panfish leech or plastics are working. With the weather stabilizing this week fishing will only continue to improve as we get more “NORMAL” September temperatures.
