Welcome Fall! Now that autumn has arrived in the Brainerd Lakes Area the time to fish is now! Before you know it winter will arrive and open water waits till spring!
WALLEYES are becoming more active each day on Gull – Pelican – and Edward’s in 16-30 feet using chubs or night crawlers, Lindy rigs or jigs seem to work best. BASS are still very active in deep cabbage weeds on most area lakes. PIKE are now deeper, bigger chubs or sucker minnows are turning good sized NORTHERNS on Gull- Whitefish- and Pelican. PANFISH are still hanging by the weeds, but as the water temps drop, they will start to school up more in the deeper bays, Gull – the Cullen Chain Of a lakes, and Hubert are good for both Sunfish and Crappies now.
