Happy September! Now that we are staring right into the eyes of Autumn, fishing will be getting better everyday! Cooler temperatures are coming and typically that means the fish get hungry! Right now WALLEYES can be caught on Lindy rigs with red tails and night crawlers in 18-28 feet on White fish – Gull – and Pelican. BASS action remains excellent along the deeper cabbage beds on Hubert – North Long- and Gull using Night crawlers and plastics. PIKE have been very active as the water cools, with the bigger ones being caught in the deeper water 25-34 feet on White Fish – Gull – and Edwards being caught with Creek chubs on a Lindy rig or bobber. PANFISH are biting on the Cullen Lakes – Gull – and North Long on a small jigs tipped with plastics or crappie minnows, still hanging in that 12-18 ft range.

Fall fishing can be some of the best of the year, so now would be a great time to book a guided fishing trip with the Nisswa Guides League! Call S and W bait at 218-829-7010 to book a trip this fall!
