Late Summer Fishing in the B.L.A. continues to be very good. The Bass and Pike fishing is excellent on most area lakes in 12-20 feet using spinner baits, sucker minnows, and plastics, Gull- Whitefish- and North long are all producing nice fish. Walleyes can be caught with a little persistence. As water temps fall the bite should pick up, Night Crawlers and Chubs on lindy rigs are your best bet now in 18-26 feet on Pelican, Whitefish and Gull Lakes.
